Manny Pacquiao Helped Families Find a Home

Manny Pacquiao’s achievements weren’t limited to the boxing ring. In the Philippines, he also used his own money to help families obtain homes.

In 2016, reports quoted Pacquiao saying that more than 1,000 families had benefited from free housing he funded in Sarangani Province.

One documented project, Pacman Village, provided homes to 150 homeless families in Barangay Bales, Maasim. According to the World Boxing Organization, the project cost 28.5 million Philippine pesos and was financed with Pacquiao’s personal funds.

At the handover, he encouraged residents to care for their new properties and spoke about plans to build additional homes.

For families without a permanent place to live, a house can mean much more than walls and a roof. It can provide stability, privacy and somewhere to build everyday memories.

His boxing career brought him international recognition. These housing projects showed another way that success could make a difference: helping families gain a place to call their own. ❤️
